“Urbanocity” is a play on the word “Numinosity,” only this one-night weekend “retreat” is a city experience. We get a hotel on a Friday night, watch peace and justice flicks, and get up WAY EARLY on Saturday morning to serve the poor and homeless at the St. Francis Soup Kitchen at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Atlanta. We have Mass at the Shrine, lunch, and then spend Saturday afternoon reflecting on our experience. Cost is about $25 and includes everything. This retreat is usually during the fall semester, depending on availability.
