Spirit & Truth is a ministry based around the Eucharist. It consists of adoration, with occasional praise and worship, and a talk afterwards. Also, depending on the night, we will go out to eat afterwards. Come and join us for Spirit & Truth on Thursday nights, during the school year, at 7:00 p.m. at the Catholic Center!
Adoration is a time to adore Christ in the Eucharist. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and Jesus is present in the room. Sitting in front of the Blessed Sacrament is allows for a deep prayer time and a time to worship with him directly in front of us. The Catechism says “Adoration is homage of the spirit to the “King of Glory,” respectful silence in the presence of the “ever greater” God. Adoration of the thrice-holy and sovereign God of love blends with humility and gives assurance to our supplications” (2628).
